Patty Overson's inquisitive nature leads her on adventures around the world and throughout her beloved home state of Minnesota.

She travels the two-lane highways and four-lane freeways in search of interesting, quirky, and little-known places in order to gather tidbits to share with others interested in Minnesota, resulting in her books Minnesota Minutia and Staycation in Minnesota: Up North.

The mother of two grown children, Patty lives in a Minneapolis suburb with her husband, John. They often go exploring together.
